Accommodation

A room is also a position.

Square footage matters. So do outlook, deck location, adjacent spaces and the way you plan to use your private time.

Four Perspectives

Select the space around your voyage.

Category names vary by operator. We use clear, non-commercial terms to focus on the qualities that affect your stay.

Oceanview Cabins

Space: efficient and contained. View: a fixed window frames light and sea conditions. Privacy: entirely internal. Suited to guests who spend most days elsewhere onboard. Consider window position and whether the view is obstructed.

Private Balcony Suites

Space: an indoor room plus personal exterior area. View: direct and changing. Privacy: greater separation, although balcony sightlines differ. Suited to slow mornings and scenic arrivals. Consider wind exposure and deck overhang.

Extended-Stay Residences

Space: distinct sleeping and living zones. View: often broader glazing or multiple aspects. Privacy: suited to longer stays and in-suite dining. Consider whether extra room outweighs location or fare.

Quiet-Location Accommodation

Space: available across several room types. View: depends on category. Privacy: emphasis on lower surrounding footfall. Suited to light sleepers. Consider distance from lifts, service areas, theatres and pool decks.

Deck Reading

What we check.

Deck plans reveal the context a category label cannot: what sits above, below and beside the room; how far key venues are; whether lifeboats alter sightlines; and which direction faces the most relevant scenery.

Let the right accommodation sharpen the whole route.
